Speaking & Corporate Engagement

The same patterns that run families run organizations.

Because the same human beings are in both rooms.

Lisane reads organizational culture as an inherited behavioral system: leadership defaults installed long before anyone had a title, and the undercurrent beneath team conflict that surface training never reaches.

It was a truly inspiring, cozy, and intimate chat, and we are very appreciative of you sharing your perspectives and experiences so authentically. More than two-thirds of the audience rated your session a 9 or 10 out of 10.

what she brings

Lisane Basquiat brings two decades as a corporate executive in business transformation, and more than 13 years managing one of the most complex legacy operations in the world, the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat, into every keynote, panel, and workshop. The translation is direct: organizational culture as an inherited behavioral system, leadership defaults installed long before a title, and the undercurrent beneath team conflict that surface-level training doesn’t reach.

Most people assume their reactions, decision-making, and relationship dynamics are simply who they are. In reality, many of these behaviors are inherited—learned early and reinforced over time. This talk helps participants recognize the patterns shaping how they think, lead, and respond, and introduces a structured way to begin interrupting them.

  • Your Past Is Your Present. Why we repeat patterns — and how to change them.
  • Leadership Is Inherited. The hidden blueprint of how you lead. Leadership is not developed in a vacuum. The way you make decisions, communicate, and manage others is influenced by what you’ve learned and experienced over time. This talk helps leaders identify the patterns they bring into their leadership and how those patterns shape team dynamics, culture, and outcomes.
  • Type A, Differently. Redefining drive, performance, and success. High performers are often rewarded for behaviors that eventually deplete them — over-functioning, urgency, and constant output. This talk reframes what it means to be driven, helping participants sustain performance without burnout and lead from clarity rather than pressure.
  • The Root of Longevity. Why patterns matter more than practices. The longevity conversation is dominated by practices — what to eat, how to sleep, when to move. But practices can’t override patterns. This talk brings Lisane’s pattern-interruption framework to the longevity conversation, helping participants understand how inherited stress responses, chronic over-functioning, and relational strain quietly determine the quality and length of their lives — and what it actually takes to change them.
  • Boundaries. The standard that protects your time, energy, and leadership. As responsibility increases, so does the demand on time, attention, and capacity. Without clear boundaries, leaders default to over-commitment and diminished effectiveness. This talk reframes boundaries as a leadership standard — showing how they protect focus, strengthen decision-making, and create more sustainable performance.
  • Next Gen Leadership. What you inherit — and what you choose to lead. Many leaders step into roles already defined — by family, founders, or existing culture. This talk helps participants identify the leadership patterns they’ve absorbed, understand how those patterns influence their decisions and teams, and choose a more intentional way to lead. Especially relevant for family businesses and succession roles.
